Chili Rasbora
The Chili Rasbora (Boraras brigittae), also known as the Mosquito Rasbora, is a tiny, colorful fish that is a favorite among fishkeepers. Its peaceful nature, schooling behavior, and bright appearance make it a perfect addition to small, planted aquariums. When well cared for and fed a healthy diet, male Chili Rasboras often show a stunning ruby-red color that can light up the tank.
These fish thrive in planted tanks with plenty of open space for swimming. They are happiest in groups of 8–10 and should be kept with other small, gentle fish to ensure a calm environment.
As omnivores, Chili Rasboras enjoy a varied diet that includes flake food, micro pellets, and freeze-dried treats like bloodworms and tubifex. With their vibrant colors and lively schooling, these fish can bring life and beauty to any aquarium!
